The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine
Bockus Payne has had the distinct privilege to design the new home for the College of Medicine on the Health Sciences Center Campus in Oklahoma City. Bockus Payne was awarded the project after participating in a design competition and is currently providing
Construction Administration as the project is being constructed.
The goal of the nine story Academic Office Building is to be known as the Home of O.U. Medicine and stand as an icon for the Medical Center campus. The contemporary structure is highlighted by a bold crimson ribbon above a glass atrium which clearly identifies it with The University of Oklahoma.
The 9-story state of the art building was designed without internal columns in order to maximize flexibility for the multiple departments housed in the facility. Movable partitions contribute to the flexibility of the conference halls on the first floor.
