Seeking to consolidate numerous locations into its banking headquarters, BancFirst looked to a downtown Oklahoma City icon: the former Liberty Tower, a 36-story skyscraper originally completed in 1971. The 50-year-old building—the second-tallest tower in the city—was in poor condition and had gone into receivership. The financial institution engaged Bockus Payne to carve out a path forward for the building and spearhead the renovation process. The result is a stunning example of how to transform an aging building and create an inviting community asset.
