Intern Interior Designer
Growing up in Oklahoma City, Intern Interior Designer Cara Sutton enjoyed watching her parents work on residential renovations, which exposed her to the design field from an early age. In college, she decided to switch her major from a psychology pre-medicine track to interior design, and in her daily work she enjoys finding ways to incorporate her interest in psychology into design. Day-to-day, Cara is involved in programming and space planning, collaborating with architects and consultants, and selecting finishes and materials for projects spanning multiple sectors.
Cara brings a fresh perspective to the team as an emerging designer and minority woman. She believes strongly that the quality of our surroundings has a direct influence on the quality of life and always designs with biophilia and organic architecture in mind. With a particular interest in community-based design, Cara is proud to work on such projects as the Willow Pregnancy Support’s Rose Home, the Wings Special Needs Community, and the upcoming MAPS4 Clara Luper Civil Rights Center. Outside of work, Cara enjoys traveling, experiencing different cultures, and is working toward her yoga teaching certification.
