A native of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Partner Brent Simmons first became interested in architecture during his seventh grade shop class, which introduced him to mechanical drafting and furniture construction. An employee of Bockus Payne since 1998, Brent is responsible for writing the specifications and providing quality assurance for every project in the firm’s portfolio.

Brent believes that every project is a question in need of a solution. His process begins with listening carefully to the client in order to formulate an answer that ultimately satisfies the initial question. One of the highlights of Brent’s career is his work on The University of Oklahoma’s College of Medicine. During his downtime, Brent enjoys spending time with his family. He also loves being in nature and staying active by hunting, fly-fishing, and camping.
