An Oklahoma City native, Taylor Starr became interested in interior design while rearranging the furniture in her childhood room, prompting her to begin studying house plans in library books. As a partner and interior designer at Bockus Payne, her responsibilities include working on projects at every phase of design, from programming to construction administration.

Taylor approaches her work with a creative and analytical mindset, bringing a practical, yet artistic perspective to projects. This is reflective of her design philosophy that spaces should be both beautiful and functional. One of Taylor’s portfolio highlights is the Francis Tuttle Danforth Campus because she was able to experience the design full-circle, from curating the finishes and furniture to observing the construction. When she’s not in the office, Taylor enjoys designing as a hobby, revitalizing her 1960’s ranch home with her husband and son.
