Originally founded as Bruce L. Bockus, Architect, in 1987, Bruce Bockus and David Payne together established Bockus Payne Associates Architects of Oklahoma City in 1993. Oklahoma was reeling from the oil bust and architects were among the professionals fleeing the state for greener pastures. But Bockus Payne instead decided to stand firm and face the wind.
