Full renovation of headquarters creates an open and collaborative space for employees to discover how they work best
Design Brief
The Bockus Payne team was engaged by Express Employment Professionals, one of the top staffing companies in the U.S., to spearhead a full renovation and expansion of its existing three-floor office building in OKC.
The newly renovated headquarters showcases the company’s refreshed brand through classic and eye-catching design elements. The aesthetic is bright, airy, and indicative of the company culture. Glass-front offices, stairwells, and conference rooms allow for transparency and abundant daylight, while remaining highly secure.
Based on departmental needs, the building includes private offices, semi-open work areas, conference rooms, break areas, private rooms, and collaboration zones, in addition to amenities such as a gym, lactation rooms, storage areas, and more. A primary goal of the project was to increase formal and informal collaboration space for training and conference needs for a range of group sizes. The renovated basement now functions as a multipurpose collaboration level, with various spaces that encourage groups and activities.
The second floor executive wing located in the new addition features clean, linear lines with anodized aluminum framing and butt-glazed glass walls. Paths of Express blue lead down the rows of offices lining the perimeter. The CEO’s office includes a casual seating area and conference space elevated by rustic walnut wall materials, efficient LED lighting, and herringbone carpeting. A pair of hidden doors within the office opens up to a wet bar, while another set of doors leads to a luxurious restroom and shower.
Express Employment’s refreshed and expanded headquarters provide an open and collaborative space for employees to discover how they work best. The modern, flexible interiors are designed to accommodate future growth and shifting needs, ensuring that the building will remain suitable for many years to come.
