Originally from Longview, Texas, Clay Harstad is a partner and architect at Bockus Payne. Clay’s passion for architecture was sparked when he first entered a sports stadium and was more enthralled by his physical surroundings than the action on the field. In his current role, Clay works primarily on ground-up bank projects for the firm’s financial portfolio, leveraging his strong attention to detail and industry expertise. His responsibilities include the daily management of numerous projects across design, 3D modeling, rendering, master planning, programming, working drawings, and construction administration.

Clay prides himself on his ability to deliver projects on time and under budget, while fulfilling all functional needs. The highlights of his career are the nearly two decades of client relationships he has built. On the weekends, you’ll find Clay with his wife and daughters at local sporting events, dance competitions, or planning their next Disney trip.
